GX 3+ IP-VFC Support Guidelines

This page describes the IP-VFC support level when the card is installed in a GX 3+ media server. For general IP-VFC information, please see the IP-VFC Overview.

IP-VFC FW 26.2 has introduced full format support for IP-VFC cards across all current media server ranges.

The table below shows which VFC modes, split modes and sync sources the GX 3+ supports on FW 26.2.

Resolutions are per output. Quad mode lists 1080p because it produces four outputs which together total 4K DCI, rather than because it is limited to a 1080p image.

The IP-VFC Interoperability page compares all media servers and covers earlier firmware versions.

Specific formats supported in SDI and ST 2110 modes on the IP-VFC when used with the GX 3+ can be seen in the table below.

All video formats are supported when using IP-VFC firmware 26.2 and Designer r34.1 or above.

On earlier firmware the GX 3+ is more limited. FW 25.1 is not validated for the GX 3+ at all, and FW 24.4 supports SDI in Single mode only.
